My black and white darkroom-generated work began with studies of bones / eggs, an effort to attain formal structural beauty. This evolved into studies of the correspondences between human and other natural forms, the emphasis still structural. The digital age led me to an aesthetic of inclusivity. I printed chosen photos in different sizes, then cut and played with placement of pieces. The final compositions were pasted down, after which I scanned, then edited on computer for color, definition etc. These “photo collages are varied in subject, but tend to “crowd” ideas while still attending to structure. Anything is fair game!
