Bill Jacobs

About
"We all experience life visually. However, what we actually see is interpreted diffently by  each of us. Some people process the most subtle of images while others miss the most obvious"

Bill Jacobs has been taking photos for over 50 years.  His inspiration for photography was initiated when he befriended German photographer and performance artist Ulay, in Amsterdam in July of 1970.  Bill still shoots film, both color and black and white.  All of his images are unaltered digitally.  He spent 10 years looking for the right glass filter to make photos look "painterly" as in his florals.  He sometimes hand tints a black and white photo with photographic paints and some of his images are untouched. His photos have been exhibited at the Chelsea Center in Brookville NY, The Nassau County Museum, C.W. Post College and Artjuxtapose Gallery.
