S.L. Rika is Art Gallery 71’s featured artist for November. Rika arrived in the Hudson Valley from Los Angeles, California in February, 2018.
The artist paints in both oils and acrylics employing either brush or palette knife. In addition, textures may vary from light to heavy. Rika’s energetic painting style uses bright, bold colors against darks riveting the eye and brings a smile to the lips.
Rika enjoys painting a wide variety of subject matter from chickens, martinis, florals, landscapes, portrait styles ranging from modern to impressionistic to realistic to abstract.
This exhibit will feature predominately large abstracts with some smaller subject matter and styles included.
