SILVANA TAGLIAFERRI

My newest group of paintings reflect my fascination with capturing the essence of a subject - its spirit and energy. 
To achieve this end, I have put aside the brushes in lieu of palette knives and other found implements to apply paint. This new technique eliminates small details and assists in my quest to seize the gusto, the joy, and drama of the moment.
My inspiration has also recently moved in a more interpretive direction. Quite often the subjects for my work are born from dreams, imagination or memories, along with more traditional subjects.
I hope you enjoy this new group of paintings and find them visually engaging and entertaining!
