Curt is an abstract expressionist painter who seeks to capture the energy that abounds in our surroundings, allowing forms and shapes to just be. Occasionally he uses gestures or action to express a feeling; other times he simply allows some distant landscape to emerge. Ultimately his paintings are an expression of angst that needs to be released.
Curt is new to Dutchess County and is invigorated by the open spaces and beautiful surroundings. Curt studied fine art painting and printmaking at SUNY Stony Brook on Long Island. Since graduating many years ago, he used his creative talent to build his fine jewelry business, but has returned in recent years to expressing his artistic nature through painting.
