February 2022 - Claudia Engel

Art Gallery 71 invites you to our gallery February 11th - March 6th for a show featuring the work of guest watercolorist Claudia Engel.

Members of the gallery will also exhibit a variety of work during the month.

Claudia Engel has been painting most of her life, having attended the Rhode Island School of Design. She has spent the past 19 years being mentored by Betsy Jacaruso in her Rhinebeck gallery and studio. For the past few years, Claudia has been inspired to document New York City. You might enjoy memories of Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Upper West Side, and others.

Claudia lives in Port Ewen, New York in a home overlooking the Rondout and Hudson Rivers, offering views frequently found in her earlier paintings and reproduced on large scale in Health Quest Hospital's main entrance room in Kingston, New York.

Her watercolors are so vivid that they are frequently mistaken for oils, but we assure you they are just vivid watercolors!
