Evelyn LaStella

Largely self-taught, Evelyn LaStella has a deep respect and appreciation for the formal elements of painting, including the use of value (light and dark) and temperature (cool and warm) to create the illusion of depth. In her most recent work, she is moving away from traditional realism toward more interpretive and expressive use of saturated color to celebrate her remembered feelings from everyday life. Now retired from a corporate career, Evelyn is grateful to be painting full time.
