Yoram Gelman

Born in Palestine and raised in the U.S., Yoram Gelman is a digital photographer whose prints are created with archival pigment ink on heavy museum grade paper.  "My photographs are often incomplete, almost enigmatic—something shown but not quite explained; perhaps abstract leading outside the frame; often with strong geometries, especially the boundaries between light and dark; incorporating tonal differences."  He tends to photograph in black-and-white but sometimes uses color in situations where color actually enhances the enigmatic qualities he finds interesting.
